ADDITIONAL
HISTORY IN THE YEAR 2061

The New South Militia has risen into a powerful manufacturing
and service economy. The New South retains some values of the South
of the past, but in 2061 holds mostly new values of the future. They
aim to defend a way of living and oppose a strong central government.
They are southern gentleman and southern belles, but they will fight
for what they believe. A majority of the southerners have a conservative
political viewpoint. Secession and ideological conversion are the
only answers they can live with. Either black or white divisions depending
on the player's choice, represent the New South Militia.

The
Yankees Militia of the Northeast (Connecticut, Massachusetts,
New York, Rhode Island, Vermont) in 2061 is still the old establishment.
They are clever, shrewd, arrogant, and determined to bring northeastern
values back to America. The Yankees are predominantly far left wing
liberals. They have much influence with foreign governments due to
their financial power. Some consider them pirates because they rob
people of their identity. Blue divisions represent the Yankee Militia. |

The New Industrialists
Militia of the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin)
has become wealthy and powerful in 2061, partially due to their
water cartel that sells water to western states. There has also
been a rebirth of new forms of industry that has drawn people to
the Midwest. The Midwest peoples have an interesting mix of democrat
and republican viewpoints. They are a people with common sense,
practical values, and hard work, and will fight hard for what they
believe. Yellow divisions represent the New Industrialist Militia.

The
Texas Rangers Militia is still as brash as ever in 2061. They
are risk-takers, individualists, self-reliant, and proud. They believe
a seventh flag will fly over the new U.S.A. capital in Austin when
they have won the war and have formed a new country. Texans are predominantly
republicans with their political beliefs. A new energy source found
very deep under ground and found only in Texas has brought new wealth
and power. Red divisions represent the Texas Rangers Militia. |

The
Montana Vigilante Militia has come out of nowhere to become
one of the most powerful militias in 2061. After Alaska was sold,
half the residents moved to the state of Washington and the other
half to Montana. Many new metals have been found deep in the mountains
of Montana that are used for military purposes. The leaders of the
militia are far right republican.. The Montana people are rugged and
fearless. They will take the law into their own hands at any cost.

The
Californians Opportunists Militia is the single most powerful
militia located in one state in 2061. Included with the Opportunists
Militia are the residents of Hawaii. They are a mixture of people
who believe any opportunity should be taken to create wealth, and
those who believe in protecting the environment. They are moderate
democrats with their political beliefs. They are a people with a passion
for love and technology, are diversified in skills and culture, but
will join together to fight for their rights. Orange divisions represent
the Californian Opportunists Militia. |

The
Independent states have strong views on which direction America
should take in 2061. The people of these states are either conservative
or liberal with their political viewpoints. Each state has a militia,
but they remain neutral, though powerful militias that have risen
up around them. They are reluctant to join any given militia, but
will serve in any militia that shows a passion for a new America. |
